In 1999, I became the caretaker of the old Hobart Cemetery. Since that time, many improvements to the cemetery have been made under my direction and restoration and repair of numerous older monuments completed. During that time, I have had the opportunity of meeting and talking with family members who came to the cemetery to visit a loved one and who expressed their concerns regarding grave site maintenance. Those conversations were the beginning of what has now become "Of Grave Concern".

Often time families of the deceased live far away from where their family plots are located. Those families don't often have the opportunity to visit those cemeteries to place memorials on those grave sites for seasonal holidays or for their own special dates of recognition. Years of weather and pollution stain and dull the finish on monument surfaces and grave markers. Of Grave Concern was formed to enable those families show their continued care and respect for their loved ones.
