Maximilien de Robespierre (6 May 1758 – guillotined Paris 28 July 1794).
Inspired by the centuries growing radical idea and the financial conditions of the poor, the French Revolution from 1789 until 1799 saw the end of absolute monarchy in France, the terror of the guillotine, the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte and a global conflict  that extended from the Caribbean to the Middle East. These headless portraits testify to the juxtaposition of ideals and brutality seen during the period. One of the most influential figures of the French Revolution was the lawyer and politician Maximilien Robespierre (6 May 1758 – 28 July 1794), dominating the political group the Jacobins in calling for revolution, Robespierre is best known his role in the ‘Reign of Terror’. (1793–1794). In which at least 16,594 political opponents both real and imagined were executed by guillotine. On the 28th July 1794, Robespierre himself was guillotined without trial in the Place de la Révolution.
